How to refinance your car with NTFCU

Along with a completed application and copies of two (2) recent paycheck stubs, to take part in our Refinancing Program, we need to have the following questions answered:

  1. Where is the vehicle financed now?
  2. What is the account number?
  3. What is the telephone number of the lender?
  4. What is the "Net Payoff" and what date is it good through?
  5. What are the Year, Make, Model, and Serial Number of the vehicle?
  6. What is the Interest Rate (APR), Number of Months (Term), Monthly Payment, and how many payments are left?
  7. What Term (Number of Months) are you requesting?
  8. Whose name(s) is on the Certificate of Title?
  9. Who is your Automobile insurance agent and what is his/her phone number?

In addition to the above, please note that at closing, we will also need two checks, one in the amount of $95.00, payable to the Secretary of State (this is the fee for recording our lien) and one in the amount of $20.00 (this is the FedEx delivery fee). You can also prepare one check, payable to New Trier Federal Credit Union for $115.00.
