How to refinance your car with NTFCU
Along with a completed application and copies of two (2) recent paycheck stubs, to take part in our Refinancing Program, we need to have the following questions answered:
- Where is the vehicle financed now?
- What is the account number?
- What is the telephone number of the lender?
- What is the "Net Payoff" and what date is it good through?
- What are the Year, Make, Model, and Serial Number of the vehicle?
- What is the Interest Rate (APR), Number of Months (Term), Monthly Payment, and how many payments are left?
- What Term (Number of Months) are you requesting?
- Whose name(s) is on the Certificate of Title?
- Who is your Automobile insurance agent and what is his/her phone number?
In addition to the above, please note that at closing, we will also need two checks, one in the amount of $95.00, payable to the Secretary of State (this is the fee for recording our lien) and one in the amount of $20.00 (this is the FedEx delivery fee). You can also prepare one check, payable to New Trier Federal Credit Union for $115.00.
